Biblical Feasts & Holidays

Articles in this section:
Passover | Merry Krampus

In this section , you will find articles that deal with the feasts, holy-days and sabbaths God appointed forever - the feasts that are not just jewish feasts, but that are to be kept by bible believers today just as well.

Time was created by God (Gen 1:5;14), and He determined when we are to celebrate what, so to speak, when we are to rest and when we are to work. We point to Scripture to shed light on the Sabbath, the New Moons, the appointed feasts - Passover, Feast of Trumpets, Feast of Tabernacles -, and to the Day of Atonement. Leviticus 23 gives you a quick overview of the appointed feasts.

We will deal with what so-called Christians celebrate today here too to a small degree, but their feasts and holy days - Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, All Saints Day etc. - are not biblical holidays. They are pagan festivals that just received a Christian sugar-coating at some point in time. We will mention this as the occasion arises, but it will not be the main focus of this section, as we are not concerned with what the pagans do, but with God's command word for His people.

"For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2Co 6:14)

This section is new and there we only elaborated on one feast yet, but stay tuned for more.

"The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
"Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts." (Lev 23:1-2)
