A Good Wife Part 1
"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." (Titus 2:3-5)
A good wife submits herself to her husband's authority willingly and freely, and obeys him. She is faithful to her husband in every way and her thoughts are on him in every way. He is the one she turns to with everything she has to share and with every question that she has, be it spiritual, intellectual, practical, or physical. She is his best friend, just as he is her best friend.
A good wife is gentle and modest, patient, loving and quiet in spirit (Gal 5:22), and she trusts her husband without fear (1 Pe 3:6). In the daily routine of living for Kingdom-building, she has her husband's and her family's well-being on her mind. She works joyfully and diligently, runs the home affairs intelligently and responsibly, thus being a good and trustworthy steward to the family's health and possessions (Pro 31:10-31). A good wife supports her husband in his responsibility for the family as his copilot, his help meet (Gen 2:18).
