Here is a headline I read recently, actually, it was a sales blurb, advertising an 8 volume audio tape collection that presents you with all the answers and advice you need:

Well, you know what, it doesn't need 8 audio tapes to tell you what you need to do in order to survive the coming collapse, in order to protect yourself from financial and any other kind of loss when the dollar collapses and we are facing the end of the world as we know it.

Here is what you need to do: From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Mat 4:17)

Nothing more, nothing less. If you repent, and stand until the end, you will be saved (Mat 24:13).

Now, how can I say such a thing ? How can repentance save anyone from financial loss ? See, when you break God's laws concerning economics, you invite judgment, just like Deu 28 says you will. This is what we are experiencing now.

But here is the how repentance will save you from ruin: But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Mat 6:33)

"These things" Jesus is talking about in this particular chapter are food, clothing, and treasures. If you repent from your wicked ways and do what God commands you to do, God will bless you with what you need, in every respect. Read Deu 28 for all the blessings, and all the curses, and see if you can spot the similarities.

You will even be saved if you walk in His way, not because you do what God commands, but because God keeps His promises to those who are loyal to him, who love Him the way He told us to love Him:

"If you love me, you will keep my commandments." (Joh 14:15)

When it comes to the Scriptures, Mark Twain's remark applies in an interesting way:

"It is not what you do not know that will hurt you the most. It is what you think you know, but it just ain’t so!"
